Powder scare shuts Douglas County court office
A mysterious white powder disrupted the Douglas County District Court Clerk's office on Wednesday. Tests later were negative for anthrax, but about a dozen employees were kept from their desks while emergency crews secured the area. Law enforcement seizure after search at mobile home
A Tuesday search of a mobile home in the 1900 block of West 31st Street yielded a significant amount of drugs and cash, police said. Isaac Smith, 28, was arrested on possession with intent to sell marijuana and cocaine and later released on bond. he is due in Douglas County District Court November 9.
