New chief of Kansas Court of Appeals named
AP report: Judge Thomas Malone named chief judge of the Kansas Court of Appeals by the Kansas Supreme Court to replace the late Chief Judge Richard Greene who died October 7. Malone has served on the court since 2003 after private practice in Wichita and teaching at Newman University. Greene’s successor will join 13 appellate judges as applications are sought. Christel Marquardt retires in 2013.
