Foster Wins Re election in Open Louisiana Primary

Louisiana Governor Mike Foster secured a second term in a single open primary, drawing well over half the vote. His main challenger, Rep. William Jefferson, won about a third while Jefferson attacked Foster on education and linked him to former Klan leader David Duke amid a 2.7 million voter base split roughly between Democrats and Republicans independents.

Teen arrestee bragged about golf club attack in rap

A 17 year old boy collected 25 dollars for shooting and wounding a golfer and bragged about it in a parody rap referencing Bob Marley and Eric Clapton. Patrick Cheron was arrested on a attempted murder charge along with two others who aided the crime. The 54 year old golfer was hit on the second hole at Metairie Country Club. the bullet lodged in the pelvis.
