Douglas County gains 2250 in 1977 state census

Kansas state census shows Douglas County population rising to 62,842 after a 2,250 increase. Johnson County led gains with 7,009, Shawnee 3,141, while Wyandotte Geary and Saline posted declines. Lawrence ranks fifth largest city. Douglas sixth among counties.
