Forgotten champion Labonte battles slip in 2000 NASCAR season
Defending NASCAR Cup champion Bobby Labonte, seen warned by a fan after a win, struggles in 2000 with a late surge needed to reach the top 10. He trails leader Jeff Gordon by 669 points after a season of ups and downs, with only one victory and 13 top tens through 30 of 36 races.
