Fire destroys home of North Lawrence family
A blaze at 615 Lake Street in North Lawrence destroyed the Everett Bailey residence while the family was away. Firefighters arrived about 3 20 pm and contained the flames but not before major damage to the two story frame house. Damage estimated well over 3000 dollars with contents lost. The cause is believed electrical near the fuse box on the front porch. The Baileys and their two children found temporary shelter at relatives while neighbors organize clothing and furniture donations.

Government orders 25 percent cut in natural rubber use

Car Thief Crashes Pole Cutting Power in City
