Railroad workers in Roseville near Sacramento County unearthed eight Vietnam era bombs, adding to a prior blast in the same yard. The site lay near a 24 year old explosion area, prompting evacuations of about 400 residents. The 5 foot long 500 pound device was moved to a field and detonated with no injuries reported. Authorities planned another evacuation for late Saturday or Sunday morning per sheriff’s spokesman Jim Cooper.
