Cannon Ball Wreck Leaves Dozens Injured in Rail Crash
An eastbound Santa Fe train derailed twelve miles west of Dodge City after a broken rail. The Cannon Ball plunged down a ten foot embankment, injuring many passengers but causing no fatalities. Several seriously hurt include Mrs. M. Dunkle of Lamar Missouri and Miss Mary Gupton of Keokuk Iowa. All injured were taken to Kansas City hospital. others escaped with minor injuries.
