Denver youth Tennyson Star Beard, 14, fired a revolver in a crowded hallway wounding 15 year old William F. Hachmeister, who was struck in the stomach and later in critical condition. Debra Humphrey, 14, was killed. Beard, African American, was arrested nearby.

Couple ousted with tear gas in Eudora arrest case
An 18 year old Budoran man Arlis Gene Greer was charged with assault and battery after law officers used tear gas to assault the couple out of their home in Eudora. Greer pleaded innocent at county court arraignment and a preliminary hearing was set for Friday. He is free on a 500 dollar bond. Police described multiple weapons found in the home and noted Greer initially refused to exit.
