Kansas City October 18 largest cattle run in U S history jammed the stockyards with 57 000 head as western ranges trimmed herds for winter feed. Receipts topped the 1923 KC record by over 5 000 and surpassed Chicago's prior peak of 49 128 cattle in 1908.
