Sara Shepherd reports on Marie S. McCarthy Hall a new on campus apartment building at Kansas University on Naismith Drive near Allen Fieldhouse. The three story private fund funded facility houses 16 basketball players and 21 non athletes plus guest suites. It features high ceilings tall doorways and 9 foot shower heads to accommodate seven footers with two two bedroom layouts and a four bedroom option and a half court basketball court visible from the lobby. The 11.2 million project opened October 8 with Late Night events on October 9 and construction delays delayed opening earlier in the semester.
