Lincoln PTA's Growth and Legacy in Lawrence History
The Lincoln Parent Teacher Association evolved from the Pinckney PTA with early leadership by Rev. C Weeds and later Mrs Lula Irving. Over decades it fostered school library expansion, wartime Red Cross work, and building campaigns for Cordley McAllarter and Lincoln. In 1951 52 it earned a Kansas award for 10 percent membership gain and set plans for Weekly Readers, expanded libraries, and transport to programs.
