Storm damages and power outages hit North Lawrence streets
The NWS reported damage but no windspeed estimates for the storm. About six blocks from Olson’s home Tasha Smart surveyed the 400 block of Lincoln Street where downed trees left the block closed and power out on the north side. Westar crews worked to restore power, with 109 customers still out as of 8 p.m. Sunday and restoration targeted by 11 p.m. City crews planned a cleanup pass Sunday morning and to remove large limbs through the week, urging residents to bundle debris and report damage to the forestry division.
