Reported in Hinckley California area, George and James Lipp, aged 19, were fatally injured when a box of giant powder caps exploded while the youths examined it after allegedly smoking cigarettes. James lost a hand and sight, George suffered severe head injuries. witnesses saw the pair staggering, with one hand found near the scene clutching a half burnt cigarette. The accident response focused on the cause being sparks from the cigarettes.
