Michael Aron Howell 32 of Lawrence passed away Friday October 8 2021. He was born August 30 1989 in Wichita to Cindy Everson Howell and Orval Howell. He lived in Lawrence most of his life earning an associate degree from Johnson County Community College and worked in construction and local kitchens before becoming Lead Service Tech for Wicked Broadband. He loved video games and the outdoors and married Kyleigh Bowen in 2014. He leaves Kyleigh son Cohen daughter Elsie mother Cindy Howell sister Kali Beebe grandmother Vicki Everson and many relatives. A Celebration of Life is set for October 23 1 3 pm at The Garage in Lawrence with private services for the family pending memorials to Kyleigh Howell Education Fund. Four F-16 aircraft are scheduled to fly over the University of Kansas during Saturday's home football game, KU announced Thursday.
The 149th Fighter Wing based in San Antonio will pilot F 16 aircraft for Kansas University's 109th Homecoming game with Texas Tech University. The formation will fly over Lawrence and David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium around 2 30 p.m. and again after the national anthem about 10 minutes before the 3 p.m. kickoff.
In a preliminary hearing, Nehrbass testified that two men followed her and Javier Romero to North Seventh and North streets where shots were fired. She described Romero driving recklessly to shake them, while Romero’s account differed and he refused to testify, leading to contempt charges. The case involves Martinez Diaz and Jackson charged with two counts of attempted second degree murder.
