Bridge Ordinance Passed in County Session Today

In a noon session the county board approved a city bridge ordinance, removing an obstacle to letting the contract. Death of E. J. Parker at 1631 New Hampshire St

Edward J. Parker aged 65 died at his home at 1631 New Hampshire Street at 9 50 this forenoon from an acute attack after an eleven day illness. Native of North Carolina he had lived in Lawrence since coming here about thirty years ago and was a lifelong Methodist and member of the First Methodist Episcopal Church. Funeral arrangements will be conducted by Rev H W Hargett as soon as possible with details pending. He worked twenty eight years for the Santa Fe railroad as express agent and baggage messenger. He was a member of several fraternities and left a sister and a few daughters, John _____, etc.
