Weather Woes Hit Kansas Grain Yields From Molds Sprouting
Extension plant pathologist Claude King warns that wet weather is causing sprouts in corn and grain sorghum across Kansas. Molds darken grain sorghum and may or may not reduce livestock feeding value, while sprouted ears threaten yields as kernels loosen and break during harvest.
