Affordable housing board backs two mixed use projects
The Affordable Housing Advisory Board unanimously recommends two developments include affordable units. Downtown Vermont Place would reserve one of 12 condos for sale to a low income buyer through the Tenants to Homeowners program, about 95 000 dollars. East Lawrence 826 Pennsylvania Street would convert two of 14 apartments into affordable units with utilities included, priced around 840 dollars per month for 30 years. Both seek NRA and IRB incentives and will go to staff for analysis before Public Incentives Review Committee. City hearings set for Nov 1.
