Lawrence plein air artist captures East Lawrence shacks
Jan Flanders, 59, paints outdoor scenes along Pennsylvanian Street in Lawrence. She describes her subjects as noble shacks and explains how light and weather shape her two hour sessions, often with homeowners nearby or dog walkers passing. Her work can be seen at janeflanders.com and during the Lawrence Art Walk on Oct 24-25.
