Mrs Gwinn Henry Returns From Texas After Mother's Death
Mrs Gwinn Henry has returned from Brownwood Texas after the death of her mother Mrs L L Baker on October 1. Mrs Baker 71 years old is survived by husband and eight children. She belonged to a pioneer Texas family and was one of twelve children. Her father J C Mullins organized the first Masonic lodge in Brown County in 1865 and first Methodist church was organized at his home. Mrs Baker was active in the Baptist church since marriage. The Bakers formerly ranched near Santa Ana and moved to Brownwood in 1923 for their children's schooling.

Law graduate dies in Helena Justice Samuel V Stewart
Attention was called today in the school of law at the University to the death in September of Justice Samuel V. Stewart of Montana. Stewart, a 67 year old former governor and veteran in state politics, died September 15 in Helena. He served in all three branches of state government and held posts as governor, city attorney, representative, and associate justice of the Montana supreme court. He faced a Senate race defeat in 1928 and once sought vice president in 1920. Stewart moved to Kansas at 11, studied at Fort Scott normal, Emporia Teachers College, and the University.
