The Stockwell and Thompson wedding occurred Saturday afternoon at the Elliott home with Rev Goéhi ng officiating. Bertha Stockwell, now Mrs Thompson, plans to reside in Tulsa Oklahoma after the ceremony. Also noted are social gatherings and club events including a nephew’s dinner, Elks Club entertainment, and various reunions and meetings in Lawrence.
A discussion of tunic styles panel and sapron for evening wear with net and rulle trims, metal cloth clips in gold silver steel and copper, and artificial velvet satin flowers in varied colors. Followed by brief social notices including a 2 Prachh-Metarty wedding in Lawrence with details on the couple and home plans, and ongoing club meetings and dances.
Arthur Judson, Ms Matzenauer's manager, reports from A M Oberfelder that Matzenauer's concert tonight was magnificent and surpasses two years ago. The telegram says her triumph sets a standard few artists could match and calls the concert the finest here in years with a hoped for return engagement.
Funeral services were held at Plymouth Congregational church for Judge Samuel A. Rigas who died last week in Ann Arbor Michigan where he had lived with his son. Rev. W. A. Powell conducted the service and burial followed at Ok Hill cemetery. Pallbearers were W. Metcalf A. D. Weaver Hugh Means P. F. Walker W. L. Burdick and R. Rankin.
In sad memory of our dear son Freddie Olson who died one year ago October 10 1919. All to ourselves dear Freddie we think of you and the things we used to do. Missed by mother and father Mr and Mrs Victor Olson and Mr and Mrs Frank Fox of Kansas City Kansas guests of Mrs Susie Wilcox Over Sunday.

County Superintendent J Lane announced the next county teachers meeting will be at the court house on October 23 starting at 10 AM. Miss Williams of Kansas State Normal School Emporia will speak on geography, and Miss Manley will discuss English. Sidney Long of Leavenworth visited Lawrence for the weekend and saw the game Saturday, riding a bicycle.
Elmer Bateson was brought to the police court this morning on a charge of disturbing the peace. His trial is scheduled for tomorrow morning. Ride a bicycle for health.
