Eric Nielsen of Lawrence passed away on October 6 2017. Services were held October 1 2017 at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel De Soto Kansas with visitation at 5 30 PM and service at 6 30 PM.
Funeral service for Sandy Sandy Lee Wellman age 70 of Lawrence will be at 2 pm Thursday at Rumsey Yost Funeral Home. Interment follows at Oak Hill Cemetery. She died Saturday at LMH.
Carolyn Carey Gleason died October 8 2017 in Lawrence Kansas at 89. Born December 7 1927 in Mound City she lived in Ottawa before moving to Lawrence in 2010. She was a homemaker, volunteer, co trustee of Beatrice Martin Peck Foundation and supported Prairie Paws and other local causes. She is survived by sons Tom Gleason Jr and John Gleason and grandson Christopher. Memorial service October 13 at Ottawa First United Methodist Church with visitation October 12 at Lamb Roberts Funeral Home. Memorials to Douglas County Visiting Nurses or Prairie Paws.
Talonna D onn Reed 54 fought metastatic breast cancer dying October 3 2017 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Kansas. Born January 11 1963 in Lawrence to Kyra Ware and Thirl Reed she lived in Lawrence all her life and worked as a preschool teacher before becoming a grandma she loved Mia and Markus and is survived by two daughters Keyonna Reed and Marka Nelson two sisters Cheryl Wilson and Madonna Reed two grandchildren Mia Monegro and Markus Cruse. Services are October 14 2017 at 10 00 a.m. at St Luke AME Church.
