Rollin' Down the River Festival site lineup and dates
The Rollin' Down the River Festival runs October 11 and 12 1997 with venues at Burcham Park Constant Park and Riverfront Park along the Kansas River. Events include the Fourth Annual KU Natural History Museum 5K Run and 1-Mile Fun Walk, environmental demonstrations, tree plantings, Native American programs, river tours and talks by KU scientists, water treatment plant tours, art shows, a masked ball fundraiser, and a closing river ritual. Additional activities span downtown outlets, streetWalks, historical exhibits, and a Kanfree House poetry event. Registration for the run (12 dollars until Sept 30, 15 dollars in October) and details are at KU Natural History Museum and related local venues.
