Mrs. Robinson of Eudora is the only Douglas County woman to be elected. The vote wraps up a statewide gathering with small margins and notable regional representation.
The Kansas WCTU convention at Lawrence elected Mrs. L. R. Robinson of Eudora as state treasurer, the first Douglas County member in years to hold a state office. Other officers named include Millian Mitchell of Topeka as head, Emma Grover of Winfield as vice president, Mary E. Dobbs of Wichita as corresponding secretary, and Ida Walker of Norien as recording secretary. A new local colored WCTU chapter was organized with four Lawrence members joining.
A burglar entered Harry Hutchings residence on a Kentucky street Thursday evening around 8 o clock while family were away. Police arrived minutes after the call and found the front rooms searched with an escape over the porch roof. A ladies Elgin watch worth fifteen dollars was stolen.
