Douglas County plans include land and road projects
Douglas County commissioners on Wednesday mapped future actions across three areas. They will remove a dilapidated house on a county lot opposite the Judicial and Law Enforcement Center on Rhode Island Street and decide future use of the adjacent vacant lots. They will consider options for Lone Star Lake marina building, including razing, upgrading, or selling to a neighborhood association. Early next year they will decide whether to take over rural road maintenance from nine townships and study economic impacts.
