Floyd Walker, a man who says he lives in Lawrence, was arrested in Osage City on October 9 for assault with intent to kill. He stabbed a woman who claims to be his wife during a fight. the throat wound is not dangerous. They were jailed at Lyndon later that day.
In Hasttaga Nebraska on October 9 a family quarrel led to a fatal shooting in the Smearl home. Mrs Budanek died after suffering, while her son John Budenek and two relatives were left dying or injured. Family estrangement preceded the tragedy.
