Task force limits colon cancer screening to age 75
The U S Preventive Services Task Force says most people over 75 should stop routine colon cancer tests and does not endorse new CT colonography or stool DNA screening. It recommends ages 50 to 75 have one of three options: colonoscopy every 10 years, sigmoidoscopy every 5 years with stool blood tests every 3 years, or annual stool tests.
