Delta plane lands safely after bird strike near D C
A Delta Airlines Boeing 727 carrying Housing Secretary Henry Cisneros and 52 others diverted to Reagan National after striking a flock of birds. The captain shut down one engine, returned to Arlington National Airport with no injuries. The 4:30 p m flight to LaGuardia was about 2000 feet up when the bang occurred.
