Bombs Destroy Co op Milk Plant in Burlington
Five men attacked the Burlington Cooperative Milk Association plant early today, kidnapping watchman John Eisenbart, binding him with rope, and blowing up the new $25 000 milk receiving facility. The blast shattered windows within ten blocks. Eisenbart, 55, escaped and reported the incident. He described revolver threats and a getaway in a car, with the men dumping him about a mile outside city limits. The plant, opened September 22 to cut middlemen profits, had Chicago Pure Milk as a loan source for machinery. Details of the car and suspects were not obtained.
