Washington hosts ongoing sessions as workers capital and the public participate in the conference. Trade groups and officials engage in discussions on economic policy and labor rights with multiple committees meeting.
Secretary Wilson opens the conference in Washington as Wilson Palmer Baruch confer on a three-way plan to harmonize industry. Thirteen of fifteen Gompers picks attend as unions and railroad brotherhoods seek one delegate each plus federation representation. Miss Lillian Wald named as public delegate.
Deputy Crowster and Will Inhns testified in a Kansas City trial of two men charged with attempting to sell a stolen Ford ear in Lawrence. A man calling himself Burton in Lawrence was not the real name. Burton tried to sell the car to Wil Johns, whose suspicions prompted an inquiry by the sheriff’s office, uncovering the vehicle as stolen in Kansas.
Beatrice High School faces a stronger challenge this Friday as coach Woodward's squad prepares for another competitive matchup. The coach expects tougher plays and aims to sharpen team defense and scoring efficiency before a crucial weekend test.

Sherwin F. Kelly of the KU class of 1917 has been awarded a Society for American Scholarships fellowship. It carries an annual income and will fund his geology studies in Paris at the Sorbonne. During service he spent five months in France.

Merle Gunby and Edward OLeary, both from Fredonia and students at KK OU, were held up early Sunday on Ad and Kentucky streets. A pocketbook with $2.75 was stolen from Gunby. The robber, an amateur likely a student, pressed a revolver to Gunby's side. OLeary tackled the robber, and four shots rang out, none hitting the men. Police found no trace of the holdup.

N H Huffman was elected secretary to fill the vacancy caused by Rev John Adams leaving St Luke's church.
