Giants Win the Pennant in Close League Battle

In windy Cleveland, October 5, the New York Giants defeated the Cleveland team to clinch the pennant as Keefe faced Graber. Gore and Truman started the scoring for New York with a first inning drive, and multiple late plays sealed the win. The Giants head to New York tonight aboard a special car, aiming for the metropolis around 4 p.m. tomorrow.

Desperado Charles Davis Killed After Pursuit

Charles Davis age 19, famed band leader of horse and cattle thieves in Indian Territory, is shot and killed near Feetwood after barricading a vacant house. Deputy Marshals Turner Terry and Hart pursued him. he opened fire, fled, and died half an hour later. Also reported: wrecks of Lake Superior outfit near Hancock, and a daring burglary in Elizabeth N J with $2000 in valuables stolen.

Fatal rear end collision on St Louis and San Francisco line

In Missouri near Northview sixteen miles east of Looked For Ha Lost Hana a rear end crash involved seven cars tumbling down an embankment. Four men were badly hurt including Engineer Savage who is not expected to live. Fireman William Dryer engineer Mike Murphy Tom Sawyer and brakeman Ed Cartwright were injured. Cartwright lost a hand but bound up his wound and handed the severed portion to another as he urged care. The injured were taken to Looked For Ha Lost Hana on a special train.
