Ceremony invites public to honor 1882 Lawrence lynching victims
Law rence hosts a Saturday ceremony to collect soil from the Kansas River bridge site for a national memorial to victims Pete Vinegar Isaac King and George Robertson. The Lawrence Douglas County Community Remembrance Project Coalition and NAACP plan memorial jars for The National Memorial for Peace and Justice with soil sent to Watkins Museum of History.
