Sentencing for Greathouse in two armed robbery cases
Von J. Greathouse of Overland Park was sentenced in Douglas County District Court on two counts of armed robbery. Each count carries 10 to 21 years, to run consecutively for a total of 20 to 41 years. The crimes include the April 26 Daniels Jewelry Store holdup and the May 15 Rusty’s Hillcrest Supermarket robbery with losses over $6,000 and $5,000 respectively. He was captured about three miles east of Topeka on U S 40 roughly an hour after the second holdup and has $10,000 bail posted in county jail since May 15.

Man Killed Falling From Roof In Riverside Incident
