Free State Band Takes Third at Heart of America Festival
Free State High School marching band place third in Division 2 at the Heart of America Marching Band Festival held Saturday at Memorial Stadium, KU. Olathe South won Outstanding Music Execution and General Effect. Derby led Outstanding Marching. Olathe East led Outstanding Auxiliary. Holton won Division 4 percussion. Belton and Lincoln North Star topped Divisions 3 and 2. Grand Champion went to Olathe South.
