Seasons in Basilicata captures a warm, offbeat Italian frontier
The review praises David Yeadon’s Seasons in Basilicata for its intimate portrait of southern Italy. It notes stock travel book tropes but says the author rises above them with vivid sketches, local characters like Don Pierino, and rich scenes of olive oil and wine life. The book explores a poor, little known region through a fond, observant lens.
