Lawrence police hold a 1941 Buick sedan sold locally after being stolen in California. A young man about 22 or 23 sold the car to a filling station operator for 1100 dollars, with 200 down and balance due in two to three days when the title transfers. Fire damages furnishings in Hotel Eldridge room

Traffic lights to be installed at two city intersections
City street department workers will install stop and go signals at the Nineteenth and Massachusetts intersection to ease heavy traffic. Topeka and Hutchinson, Kans. CP Clarite Fox and Cecil C. Lillibridge were charged with robbing and beating Charles E. Hanna of Rio Vista Calif. A series of Kansas robberies and a jewel theft from Dr. Karl A. Menninger’s home were linked to the pair. Jewels valued at 1400 dollars were recovered in a Kansas City hotel after Lillibridge’s arrest in Oklahoma City. Frank W.
