Theft and mischief reported in Lawrence area incidents

A Lecompton man reported theft of 1050 dollars in items from Cadet Avenue between noon and 4 p.m. September 20 including a Meade Starfinder telescope and a wooden porch swing. A Lawrence woman reported 2000 dollars of criminal damage to her 2006 Hyundai. A missing 7 year old, Molique Wealthall, was found after his detention and a neighbor located him at a friend's house.

Charles Fiffe death marks life of Junction City educator

Mass of Christian Burial for Charles Gerard Fiffe 83 of Junction City will be held at St. Xavier's Church with burial at St. Mary's Cemetery. A WWII Marine veteran and longtime Junction City High School educator and coach he earned All KCAC honors at Kansas Wesleyan before teaching 38 years and guiding multiple sports. Critic of standardized tests to speak at KU
