KPL Begins Work On Line Project To Aid Lawrence
Kansas Power and Light Co starts a 12 million dollar high voltage transmission line project near Lawrence as part of a five utility pooling arrangement. The 25 mile 161 000 volt line runs from Midland substation to near Holiday and interconnects with Kansas City Power and Light Co. The project includes 175 000 kilowatts exchange capacity and conversion of a 115 000 volt line between Tecumseh and Lawrence stations. Construction aims for completion in June 1915.
