Evolution of the English Bible from Latin roots to the King James Version
The history traces the Bible from Latin codes to Wycliffe’s English translation, Gutenberg’s movable type, and the rise of modern editions. It notes Tyndale’s influence, Coverdale’s Great Bible, the Geneva Bible, the Bishop’s Bible, and the 1611 King James Version as the enduring standard, with later revisions like the 1885 English Revised Version and the 1901 American Revised Version.
