Topeka woman knits colorful caps for local teens
Lin da Tuller, 68, spent summer knitting about 50 caps for Robinson Middle School students in Topeka. The caps were distributed mid November as part of a broader interchurch effort with Potwin Presbyterian, West Side Baptist, Central Congregational United Church of Christ, and West Side Christian Church aiding Meadows Elementary and Robinson Middle School. Community volunteers, including Tuller, run annual drives for school supplies and winter clothing, with Tuller also knitting hundreds of baby blankets for a church pantry.
