Alexander Sr. 57 a former Ford sales manager died Friday at his Wheaton Illinois home after a heart attack. He was father in law to Mrs Earle Alexander Jr formerly Nancy Gilchrist of Lawrence now in Houston. A Lovelady Texas native Rice Institute graduate WWI veteran joined Ford in 1919 and worked in Houston Chicago and Kansas City before retiring. He is survived by his wife two sons Earle Alexander Jr Michael Alexander and daughter Martha Roche all of Houston.

Midland Grange to Hold 45th Anniversary Meeting

Postal employee named Foreman of the Mails at Lawrence

Grant Eichhorn a longtime local postal worker was appointed Foreman of the Mails at the Lawrence Post Office. He has served as KU station clerk in Frank Strong Hall for two years. The previous foreman Jack Riley resigned to resume a clerical position in the office.
