Ban on Michelangelo drawing sale extended to June 2003
Britain blocks export of a 250 year old Michelangelo drawing found at Castle Howard. It sold for 8.4 million to Jean-Luc Baroni and could fetch at least 12 million with potential buyers including the National Galleries of Scotland. Arts Minister cites its rarity and preservation. The ban lasts until June 28, 2003.
