Korean War crane statue near KU memorial set for April dedication
The KU Korean War memorial features four interwoven cranes symbolizing South Korea, North Korea, China and the United States. A fifth leg honors KU alumni and students who died. The project, spearheaded by Jeff Weinberg, has drawn Korean donations totaling about 100000 dollars. The sculpture should be installed over winter break with a planned April 16 dedication during Gold Medal Weekend.
