London, Nov 28 AP A bizarre court exhibit featured a keyhole set in a drawing room door and placed in evidence to show how mould might be seen through it. The jury could inspect the door to assess the shape and possible interpretation of the scene in question.
B F Yoakum a Texas-born railroad builder and longtime executive of the St Louis and San Francisco and other lines died at his Fifth Avenue home in New York at 1 45 am after a heart attack. He shaped the Yoakum Plan for farm marketing and led vast expansions of the rail network linking Texas to the Midwest and Gulf coast. He was born in Limestone County Texas married Elizabeth Bennett in 1885 and leaves two children Mrs Paulding Fosdick and Mrs Francis R Lat pie.
The University of Kansas Alpha chapter of Phi Delta Theta won the Harvard Alumni trophy for the third time in five years, earning the silver loving cup as the best fraternity chapter in the United States and Canada. The cup goes to the chapter with the highest points from scholarship and activities as judged by national officers. KU previously held the trophy last year and in fall 1925. in 1926 the award went to the Leland Stanford chapter.
Dr. R Ostrowski aged 48 wed Miss Mary man aged 29 after a stalled car episode in Elkhart. The ceremony occurred November 21 and marked the end of Ostrowski’s stint with an anti matrimony club tied to St. Margaret's hospital. N/A
The Plymouth Congregational church host Rev C A Wilson of the Lutheran church who spoke on the ingratitude of the ten lepers from Luke. Mountain View Arkansas AP five men will stand trial for the death of Alice Connie Franklin a young farm hand whose body was found burned in ashes. Prosecutor Hugh Williamson says the remains identified as a male but traced to the man who witnessed the crime and aided in the cover up. The prosecutor ties the killings to an attempted marriage between Franklin and a sixteen year old sweetheart Tillie Rumner who is kept under guard to prevent her story from changing. The five men face charges of murder and burning.
Police in Kansas City blame labor troubles for a blast at a Standard Rendering plant early today. A man identified as C. Johnson was inside when the explosion occurred before an intruder could flee. Damages and exact loss were not yet determined.
