Two men charged in Douglas County with rape
In Douglas County District Court two men were charged on October 9 with rape of a victim unable to consent. Both suspects posted $50,000 bond and were released. Earlier, Judge Sally Pokorny ordered a redacted probable cause affidavit in a separate sexual assault case released to the public after a Journal-World motion to intervene. The affidavit related to Carlton M. Grass, whose September arrest on suspicion of rape had been sealed. Pokorny approved a redacted release following arguments, saying the court system relies on openness.
