KU admissions standards inch toward reality at legislature
Kansas University officials briefed the House Senate Committee on Rules and Regulations on proposed tougher admission standards aimed at boosting student achievement. Automatic KU admission would require pre college work plus a 3.0 GPA with ACT 24 or SAT 1090, or 3.25 GPA with ACT 21 or SAT 980, with committee reviews for others. If approved, the changes take effect for fall 2016 freshman class.
