Capital murder trials set in KCK

Two men Darryl Stallings and Erick Harris face capital murder charges in one of Kansas City area’s worst sprees. After a lengthy preliminary hearing Judge Boeding bound both for trial with dates set for January 13 and February 13. Five victims died in the June 10 killings tied to drug dealing and revenge. Patrice Hickman testified about the motel meeting and later shooting sequence.

Bank robber gets 10 year sentence in six state spree

Richard Banister of Wichita was sentenced in federal court to ten years plus a 5000 dollar fine and 340799 dollars restitution for a string of bank robberies across six states. He admitted to 25 robberies and pleaded guilty to six crimes including the attempted Van Buren Arkansas bank theft.
