County jail explores modulars as stopgap to overcrowding
Douglas County faces jail overcrowding with 186 inmate capacity. Bunting says expansion is at least three years away even if a 2018 bond passes. Architects cite 35 square feet per male cell and note double bunking is impractical. All Detainment Solutions builds modular units now in Seymour Missouri for Greene County, with 108 beds in three 53 foot modules.
