Clyde Coe a longtime druggist at 2301 Massachusetts street died early this morning at Lawrence Memorial hospital aged 66. He operated Coe's Drug Store at Fourteenth and Massachusetts for years retiring in 1942 but helping his son Wayne G. Coe recently. Born September 25 1884 in McPherson he was educated there and at Emporia and Kansas University School of Pharmacy class of 1910. He married Jennie M. Utm in 1914. Survivors include his wife, son Wayne, sister Teasie M. Coe Lawrence brother John BE. Coe Chicago and three grandchildren. Body removed to Funk's Funeral Home with funeral plans to be announced.

The University of Kansas bureau of business research outlines the rise and decline of the industrial tax levy in Kansas cities under 40 000 population. Since 1939 the levy allowed up to one half mill to attract new industries. Approval was 26 of 42 approvals on 50 ballots, peaking in 1945 with 13 approvals.
