Big Expenditure Planned to Expand Scout Camps
Kansas City Boy Scouts will spend over a million dollars to expand Camp Osceola in St. Clair County and Camp Ernst in Cass County. John W. Hearing Date Set For Olathe Youth
A hearing is set for Friday to decide if 13 year old George Henry Martens will be adjudged a delinquent. Martens is deaf and confessed to killing 8 year old Steven Moscoe with a knife to avenge damage to his bicycle. If found delinquent he could be sent to the Boys Industrial School. His father George Leo Martens, an Olathe carpenter, says the boy has shown unusual anger. Steven Moscoe was the son of Marine Sgt Lawrence Moscoe at the Olathe Naval Air Station.

Six Die In Chicago Helicopter Crash Near Midway
Six residents died in a crash at a Chicago area dwelling as flames swept the scene. Two victims were tentatively identified as Dean Nichols and his wife Jo Anne, both Chicago Helicopter Airways employees. Edmonds Recovered in Colby Hospital After Hunting Accident
Bill Edmonds manager of the Apco Service Station in Colby is listed in excellent condition at St. Thomas Hospital. He was injured on November 8 when his shotgun discharged while he was unloading it from a car, hitting his right leg.
